Company Staff

Leads the entire cadet company and is accountable to the instructors for the unit's performance, discipline, and morale. Sets weekly priorities, presides over staff meetings, and represents the unit at school and community events.

Second in command. Runs the day-to-day staff, coordinates every department, and assumes command in the CO's absence. Tracks that assigned tasks are completed on time and to standard.

Senior enlisted cadet advisor. Enforces uniform, grooming, and bearing standards, mentors junior cadets, and serves as the bridge between the cadet ranks and the officer staff.

Plans and schedules unit events, drill meets, and practices. Builds event timelines, assigns cadet details, and briefs the staff before each operation.

Supports operations planning, tracks event rosters and transportation needs, and runs the logistics checklist on event day.

Maintains cadet records, attendance, promotion paperwork, and ribbon/award tracking. Prepares rosters and official correspondence for the instructors.

Looks after cadet welfare and morale, offers invocations at formal ceremonies, and provides a confidential first point of contact for cadets who need support.

Owns the morning and afternoon colors detail. Builds the weekly colors roster, trains the detail on flag handling and folding, and reports the flag's condition to the instructors.

Assists the Flag NCO Lead, stands in when the lead is absent, and ensures the colors detail is present, in uniform, and on time each school day.

Issues and recovers uniforms and gear, maintains the supply room inventory, and tracks what each cadet has been issued.

Supports uniform issue and turn-in, keeps the supply room organized, and helps audit inventory each grading period.

Assists with issuing gear, repairing and pressing uniform items, and staging equipment for drill meets and ceremonies.

Leads unit physical training, plans PT sessions, and prepares cadets for the Presidential Fitness assessment and athletic/Raider competitions.

Supports PT sessions, leads warm-ups and stretch, and records fitness scores and cadet progress.

Tells the unit's story — photographs and documents events, manages unit social media content, and coordinates announcements with the instructors.

Assists with photography, captions, and the unit photo archive, and helps prepare recognition posts for competitions and awards.

Plans morale events and team-building activities, gathers cadet feedback, and brings cadet concerns to the command staff.

Commands the Color Guard, trains the detail in flag protocol and ceremonial movement, and leads presentations at school, district, and community events.

Commands the Armed Drill Team, writes and rehearses regulation and exhibition routines, and enforces drill rifle safety and handling standards.

Commands the Unarmed Drill Team, calls commands during regulation and exhibition sequences, and runs practice for timing and precision.

Second in command of the Unarmed Drill Team. Tracks attendance, coaches individual cadets, and leads practice when the CO is absent.

Leads the Air Rifle Team, enforces range safety at all times, and coaches the fundamentals of position, breathing, and trigger control.

Assists on the range, maintains rifles and targets, scores relays, and helps new shooters learn safe handling.

Leads the Orienteering Team, teaches map and compass work, plans training courses, and directs team strategy at meets.

Supports orienteering training, maintains maps and compasses, and tracks course times and cadet progress.
